This scheme will offer Rs. 15,000 per annum for a duration of five years to Kapu women. The allocation of Rs. 1,101 crores for the program this year has received approval from the cabinet. YSR Kapu Nestham Status
On September 16, the YSR Kapu Nestham initiative held a distribution event in Nidadavolu, East Godavari district, where a total of 536.77 crore rupees in cash assistance was disbursed to over 3.57 lakh women from the Kapu, Balija, Ontari, and Telaga communities. The funds were transferred directly into individual accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system with a simple button press. The beneficiaries, aged between 45 and 60, each received 15,000 rupees in annual aid. Mr. Reddy highlighted that out of the 2.06 lakh government jobs filled in the past four years, 9.5% have been awarded to Kapu candidates.
