Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath has initiated the Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana to support the progress and self-employment of the state’s labor force. This program offers six days of complimentary training to returning laborers in Uttar Pradesh, as well as traditional artisans and craftsmen, to enhance their skillsets. The aim is to empower them to initiate their own businesses.
The scheme offers financial aid to traditional artisans and craftsmen in Uttar Pradesh, such as carpenters, tailors, basket weavers, barbers, goldsmiths, potters, confectioners, cobblers, and others, for establishing small industries. The state government will provide financial assistance ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 10 lakh, covering the entire cost of the scheme. This initiative is expected to generate employment opportunities for over 15,000 individuals annually. The funds allocated through the Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana will be directly deposited into the beneficiaries’ bank accounts, necessitating an Aadhar-linked bank account for applicants.

Vishwakarma Shram Samman
The Uttar Pradesh government has introduced the Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana for migrant laborers and traditional workers. This initiative offers a six-day training program to help individuals start their own businesses. Additionally, the scheme provides financial assistance ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 1,000,000 to support employment establishment.
VK Chaudhary, Deputy Commissioner of the Industry and Enterprise Promotion Center in Mirzapur district, has informed that all district residents who have submitted online applications under this scheme and have provided hard copies of their applications to the Deputy Commissioner of Industries office will undergo a literacy program. This program is scheduled for June 4th and June 5th at 11 am and will be conducted by the Industry and Enterprise Promotion Centre’s selection committee.
