PM Daksh Yojana was officially launched on August 5, 2021 by Virendra Kumar, the Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment. It is exclusively open to Indian citizens for application. The primary objective of this initiative is to provide training opportunities for individuals belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Backward Classes (BC), and Safai Karamchari categories, with the aim of enhancing their employability prospects. Under this scheme, candidates have the flexibility to choose between long-term and short-term programs according to their preferences, enabling them to swiftly enroll in suitable training courses.

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has introduced this scheme, exclusively open to specific categories of individuals. The online application process for this scheme commenced on August 5th. For the SC category, there is no fixed minimum income requirement, whereas for the backward class, the income threshold has been set at Rs.3 lakh. Under this scheme, individuals from the Economically Weaker Section should have a minimum income of Rs. 1 lakh. Notably, no minimum income criteria have been set for Safai Karamcharis, De-Notified Tribes, Nomadic Tribes, and semi-nomadic citizens.

Upon successful application, individuals can receive training from the nearest training center. In the fiscal year 2021-22 alone, approximately 5000 young individuals have already benefited from this scheme. A certificate will be awarded upon completion of the training and evaluation process, further enhancing employment opportunities. Notably, there is no need to approach any government officer to apply for this scheme.

Eligibility for PM Daksh Yojana

• The age requirement for applying to this scheme has been set between 18 and 45 years.
• The application for this scheme must be done exclusively through the online mode. Beneficiaries will not be charged any fee for participating in this scheme.
• Under this scheme, four different types of skill development training programs will be offered. Each individual can benefit from this scheme only once.
• Participants can select a single skill training program from the available options.
• SC Cast and Safai Karamcharis will receive a monthly stipend of Rs.1500 during both short-term and long-term training programs. OBC, EBC, and DNT trainees will be provided Rs.1000 per month during the training period.
• This stipend will be granted based on maintaining a minimum attendance of 80%. Efforts will be made to facilitate employment opportunities for trainees upon completion of the training.
• Participants attending the program with 80% attendance will receive Rs.100 per day.
• For the re-skilling and up-skilling training program, attendees with 80% attendance will receive Rs.3000.

To apply online for PM Daksh Yojana, follow these steps:

1. Visit the official website of PM Daksh Yojana www.pmdaksh.dosje.gov.in.
2. On the homepage, locate and click on the ‘Candidate Registration’ option.
3. This will redirect you to the registration form on the next page.
4. Fill in all the required details accurately as prompted in the registration form.
5. After filling in the details, click on the “send OTP” button.
6. An OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to the mobile number provided during registration.
7. Enter the OTP received on your mobile and click on “Next” to proceed.
8. Enter your training details as requested and click on “Next.”
9. Lastly, provide your bank account details in the designated section.
10. Ensure all the information is correctly filled, and then click on the “Submit” button.

To register an institute in PM Daksh Yojana, follow these steps:

1. Visit the online portal of PM Daksh Yojana.
2. On the home page, locate and click on ‘Institute Registration.’
3. The registration form will appear.
4. Fill in all the required details in the form.
5. Attach the necessary documents along with the details.
6. After attaching the documents, click on the “Submit” button.
7. Your institute registration will be completed upon submission.
