NIPUN Bharat Mission is a significant initiative launched by the Ministry of Education to promote the education sector in India. Nipun Bharat mission
The NIPUN Bharat Yojana, officially known as the National Literacy with Comprehension and Numeracy Initiative, was introduced on July 5th. The mission aims to create an environment that fosters reading and numeracy skills among students. By 2026-2027, the goal is to ensure that every child can read, write, and count proficiently by the end of the 3rd grade. The implementation of this mission is carried out through the learning and literacy department of schools. It is an integral part of the Samagra Shiksha program. To facilitate its implementation, five-tier mechanisms will be established in all states and union territories, operating at the national, state, district, block, and school levels. The program aligns with the objectives of the national education policy to ensure successful implementation.
Nipun Bharat Lakshya
On June 20, 2022, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri announced the launch of the NIPUN program for construction workers. This initiative falls under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana and provides training to one million construction workers. Union Minister Hardeep Puri also engaged in discussions with beneficiaries of the scheme during its launch.
- The program aims to enhance the professionalism of construction workers, improve their employability, and offer vocational training in various trades such as plumbing. These courses follow the National Skills Qualification Framework.
- The program has also facilitated overseas employment opportunities for approximately 12,000 citizens. Additionally, it provides professional insurance coverage for a duration of three years, including accident insurance with a payout of 200,000 rubles in case of an accident.
- Digital skills training is also offered to construction workers. The project committee responsible for overseeing the program is headed by an additional secretary and involves the participation of the National Association of Real Estate Developers and the Central Association of Real Estate Developers of India.
